Welcome to Ostlers Close Restaurant...

Dessert at Ostlers CloseOur aim is to provide top quality Scottish produce and cooking without pretention in a relaxed setting. Experience a Taste of Scotland with dishes such as Perthshire Grouse served with a salmis of legmeat, roasted shallots and bacon. Speciality breed lamb also features on the menu. To complement this there is an extensive, reasonably priced, wine list to encourage diners to drink good wine with good food.

There is an abundance of top quality produce literally on the doorstep. Pittenweem Market is a wonderful source for monkfish, halibut, turbot and cod. Langoustines, crabs and lobsters are cooked to order and in the summer may be served with mixed organic salad leaves with a tomato and basil vinaigrette. In the autumn, hot lobster with winter chanterelles on a saffron sauce is a delight not to be missed. Free range ducks, chickens and eggs come from a nearby farm and there is always a plentiful supply of game in season.

Recently, the restaurant was totally refurbished to create a modern elegant dining room that still maintains the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that is more in keeping with the modern Scottish style of cooking.
"Amanda and Jimmy Graham created one of the best ripostes to accusations that Scotland was a culinary wasteland. The years since 1981 have not dulled their fire: Ostlers Close still delivers exquisite food born of rare passion and integrity."
